Robotic hip replacement is a future technology roadmap item for the practice of Dr Ravi Vattipalli at Care Hospitals Arilova. It is not offered as a live service yet.
The robotic knee experience (661+ robotic knees) relates to knee surgery only. It is not robotic hip experience.
What is available now
- Today: Velys robotic knee replacement is the established planned knee pathway. See Robotic Knee.
- Now: DAA hip replacement is part of current practice when suitable.
- Next: Robotic hip replacement remains a future roadmap item.
Families with a current hip concern do not need to wait for a technology that is not yet offered before discussing care. A consultation can review symptoms, imaging, medical fitness, home support, and whether DAA or another hip approach is appropriate.
What “next” means
“Next” means robotic assistance may be considered for hip replacement after appropriate readiness, training, equipment and hospital pathway support are in place. It does not mean that robotic hip surgery is available to book today, or that it would be better for every patient.
