Robotic knee programme at Care Hospitals Visakhapatnam, featured in The Hindu

On 25 March 2026, The Hindu reported that a Medial Stabilised (Medial Pivot) knee design, integrated with robotic-assisted surgery, had been introduced at Care Hospitals, Visakhapatnam. The report said the programme was launched under the leadership of Dr Ravi Chandra Vattipalli.

In a statement quoted by The Hindu, Dr Ravi Chandra Vattipalli described the Medial Stabilised approach as aiming to recreate the biomechanics of a natural knee. This is programme context. It is not a promise that every patient needs or receives the same implant, and implant choice remains a clinical decision made after examination and imaging.
